Artist Of The Month: The Wanted

It seems as though Jay, Max, Siva, Nathan and Tom have been taking the world by storm!
The English-Irish boy band originated in 2009 and have done remarkable things since then. Not only did the band sign with Island Records, they are managed by Scooter Braun and have been the opening act for Justin Bieber’s Believe Tour.
With good looks and number 1 hits you would think the guys would let the fame get to their head, however, they are one of the nicest bands in real life and truly love their fans (The TWfanmily). After playing Justin Bieber’s sold out show to thousands at the Rogers Centre in Toronto they headlined MuchMusic’s ‘Big Jingle’ event. A fan jumped on stage and instead of kicking her off they danced with her and brought other fans on stage to party!

Formed in 2010, the guys in the band Fairview have never stopped working toward their goals. Their catchy songs and resounding melodies can easily be compared to bands like All Time Low and Ten Second Epic. As our featured artist this month, make sure to check them out because i have a feeling we’ll be seeing them alot more…really soon.
We had a short and sweet little chat with Fairview in Toronto while they were on tour with Take Me To The Pilot.

Sister pop duo - L2 - rocks the charts
Sisters Melissa and Jessica Labbadia of L2 have been singing, acting, and performing since a young age. In early 2005, they recorded their first Demo CD and wrote their first original song. They have now co-written and recorded over 60 songs - including their get-up-and-dance song : “Insomnia”.
Their first 2 releases have had a major success on the Billboard Top 10 and Top 20 Hot Dance/Club Charts. Their single “Boys or Girls” was #10 in October 2010 and their single “Insomnia” just recently jumped 7 spots to #16 in March 2012!
You may have heard many of their songs play on “Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s” including 7 placements for the “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding” episode, as well as on “Kourtney & Kim Take NY”, “Khloe & Lamar”, “Bad Girls Club”, “Tough Love” and “The Real World: San Diego”.
Being musically inspired by present day artists like: Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga, Michelle Branch & Avril Lavigne, to 80’s artists like Pat Benatar, Heart, & Joan Jett, -I am predicting that they will become one of the biggest sister-duo pop sensations of our time.

The Neon Trees rock out in full retro gear at a drive-in theater in the music video for “Everybody Talks”. This lead single from the American pop/rock band is on their upcoming album “Picture Show”, in stores next April 17th!

Take Me To The Pilot - Tonight ( Official Video )
Their name inspired by the Elton John song; Take Me To The Pilot is a 4-piece rock band from Winnipeg, MB. Members consists of Mike Bilenki (Vocals, Guitar) Adam Brown (Bass, Vocals) Jon Stanners (Drums, Percussion) & Eric Grabowecky (Guitar, Vocals).
Im surprised that this band has not taken the nation by storm yet. TMTTP’s catchy choruses and intriguing song titles ( eg. “I Was Alive For 15 Days In The 80’s” ) have captured the attention and heart of every person at every show they play. Such a relief to know that there are still bands out there that create such honest music.
TMTTP is currently on tour with The New Cities so make sure to check them out in a city near you!
