The French-Canadian’s debut album sold over 105,000 copies in its first week, making it the highest sales chart debut in Canada in over five years!
For those of you who follow @backstage_press on Twitter, you already know that I attended (the little angels I call)Fifth Harmony’s first headlining show in Toronto!
The first opening act was the ADORABLE Liam Lis- for someone so small and for a venue that seats less than 6,000 he put on a show. Liam’s set consisted of dancers, a DJ, hype man, and a band.
The main support came from the musical trio AJR. This was my first time hearing about this band and I’m sure it won’t be the last. The brothers, Adam, Jack, and Ryan stole the show and the hearts of the female fans. The brothers played all of the instruments that were used in the performance and produce their own music. The guys met the fans after their set and were incredibly sweet to everyone!
And now for the band we were all waiting for…..
The anticipation for Fifth Harmony was heart racing and exciting. As we waited for the girls to come on stage we saw a backdrop with a large glittery diamond and five points with ‘5H’ on it. While the stage was blacked out you could hear sound clippings from The X Factor USA which was really cool and reminded us why we love the girls so much!
I don’t want to spoil the concert for those of you who haven’t attended yet but I can assure you that it is worth every penny. The girls are truly talented and make you feel like you’re apart of the party of a set they put on. During the show the girls would stop to wave at fans in the crowd and take pictures with their phones if they could. There were times when the girls would almost come to tears by the overwhelming support.
I can’t wait to see them again when they open for Demi Lovato!!
